Honor has released a teaser for its new flagship tablet, the MagicPad 4, ahead of schedule. This Android tablet, touted as the "world's thinnest," not only boasts a thickness of only 4.8mm but also features top-of-the-line hardware specifications, including a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor and an OLED display panel with a 165Hz refresh rate.
Reaching new heights of thinness: 4.8mm, challenging Apple and Samsung.
According to official data released by Honor, the MagicPad 4 is only 4.8mm thick, excluding the camera module protrusion.
This data shows that it is not only thinner than the previous generation MagicPad 3, but also surpasses the current competitors in the market that focus on thinness and lightness—the Apple iPad Pro with a thickness of 5.1mm and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11.
In addition to its breakthrough in thickness, the MagicPad 4 has also made great strides in weight control. Thanks to the newly upgraded screen panel and optimized internal structure, the overall weight has been significantly reduced by 145 grams, bringing it down to a feather-light weight of only 450 grams.
OLED display panels are making a comeback, with hardware specifications maxed out.
Despite its slim and lightweight design, Honor has not compromised on hardware specifications.
• Top-notch visual experience:Say goodbye to the LCD display panel used in its predecessor, the MagicPad 4 has been upgraded to a 12.3-inch OLED display screen, supporting a refresh rate of up to 165Hz. Although the screen size is slightly smaller than its predecessor, significant improvements are expected in image quality, black levels, and smoothness of operation.
• Flagship-level core performance:It features Qualcomm's latest generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor and offers hardware configurations of up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
• Battery life and multimedia:It features a slightly smaller but still impressive 10100mAh battery, and comes with a 66W fast charger. The device also has 8 speakers to support immersive spatial audio.
• Camera system:It features a 1300-megapixel main camera and a 900-megapixel front-facing camera.
Find out at MWC 2026 this Sunday, plus a bonus performance of a mysterious robot.
On the software side, it is confirmed that the MagicPad 4 will run the MagicOS 10 operating system, which is customized by Honor based on the latest Android 16 version.
The official price and market availability information have not yet been announced, but it is expected that Honor will reveal the full product details and sales plan at the upcoming MWC 2026 pre-show event this Sunday. At that time, this tablet is also expected to debut alongside Honor's recently unveiled "strange robot" (previously teased by Honor as having a computer vision and a three-axis camera usable by mobile phones).
Soon to expand into the Taiwan market
It has been confirmed that the Honor brand will enter the Taiwan market, but it has not yet been revealed whether it will operate in Taiwan through a distributor model similar to other Chinese mobile phone brands, or adopt a model similar to Xiaomi's establishment of a local company in Taiwan. However, it has been confirmed that a relevant operating team has been formed, including several former personnel from other mobile phone brands.
In addition, the Honor Magic8 Pro has obtained NCC certification in Taiwan, and Honor's first brand store in Taiwan has been confirmed to be located in Taipei Syntrend Creative Park, replacing the original realme brand counter which was recently not renewed. Furthermore, a billboard featuring the brand's mobile phone spokesperson Nicholas Tse has been erected, indicating that the Honor brand, which has been rumored for many years to enter the Taiwan market, is finally ready to launch its mobile phones and other products in Taiwan.
