On the last day of the Taipei Game Show, during the "Monster Hunter Wilds Taiwan Championship," an official racing competition co-organized by CAPCOM and Justdan, CAPCOM announced that its official direct-sale store, CAPCOM STORE, will be opening in Taipei's Xinyi District.
CAPCOM STORE is a directly operated store that specializes in selling merchandise designed with CAPCOM's game IPs, including famous games such as Monster Hunter, Resident Evil, Final Fight, Ace Attorney, and Mega Man. There are four stores in Japan: CAPCOM STORE TOKYO, CAPCOM STORE OSAKA, CAPCOM STORE & CAFE UMEDA, and CAPCOM STORE ANNEX.
The store opening announcement at the Taipei Game Show indicates that the store is expected to be the first overseas directly operated store in Taipei's Xinyi District. The name is expected to be CAPCOM STORE TAIPEI, but the specific location and opening date have not yet been announced.
Prior to this, Justdan, the Taiwanese distributor of CAPCOM, opened a CAPCOM authorized pop-up store, "CAPCOM POP – UP Store in Taiwan," in an underground shopping mall in Taipei in December 2024. Whether this plan to permanently locate the CAPCOM STORE in Taipei's Xinyi District will follow the same model as Nintendo is currently unconfirmed.
