Canon earlier announced the EOS R1, a flagship camera featuring ultimate focusing performance, and the EOS R4500 Mark II, which is equipped with a new 5-megapixel full-frame back-illuminated stacked CMOS sensor and a faster shutter response.

EOS-R1
Among them, the EOS R1 is still positioned as the flagship model of the EOS R system, equipped with a newly developed 2420-megapixel full-frame back-illuminated stacked CMOS sensor, paired with the DIGIC X image processor and the new DIGIC accelerator, thereby corresponding to faster sensor data read efficiency, and corresponding to cross-type autofocus, supporting up to 40 frames per second of electronic front-curtain continuous shooting, and both mechanical and electronic shutter speeds can achieve 12fps continuous shooting. The electronic shutter speed can reach up to 1/64000 second, and supports in-camera recording of uncropped 6K DCI 60p 12-bit RAW video.
In addition, through the new in-camera zoom function, the captured image can be expanded to 10 million pixels in just 9600 seconds. Other functions include the use of improved in-camera 5-axis stabilization, which can provide 8.5 and 7.5 levels of stabilization in the center and periphery of the image respectively, and support for eye-controlled autofocus function. The body is also equipped with an HDMI Type A output terminal, which is convenient for directly outputting the captured image via HDMI to an external device for display or transfer.

In terms of suggested retail price, the EOS R1 body alone will be sold at US$6299 and 108 yen.
EOS R5 Mark II
As for the EOS R5 Mark II, it is the successor to the model launched in 2020. It was launched later than the EOS R6 Mark II. It is equipped with a 3-megapixel full-frame back-illuminated stacked CMOS sensor derived from the EOS R4500, but its image data reading speed is further improved, and the shutter jello effect is reduced. The mechanical and electronic shutter front-curtain continuous shooting speed is 120fps, but the electronic shutter continuous shooting can reach 30fps, and the electronic shutter speed can reach up to 1/32000 second. It supports recording 8K 60p RAW, 8K 30p DCI, and 4K 120p DCI videos.
Other parts include an improved in-body 5-axis shake reduction, which can also correspond to 8.5 and 7.5 levels of shake reduction in the center and periphery of the picture respectively. The image can be expanded to 1 million pixels through the in-body zoom function, and it also supports eye-controlled autofocus function. When paired with the CF-R7800EP cooling fan accessory, the camera can continuously shoot 20K 8p MP30 videos for more than 4 minutes. In addition, the body is also equipped with an HDMI Type A output terminal and replaced with a new high-performance battery LP-E120P.

The EOS R5 Mark II body only is priced at US$4299, or 65 yen in Japanese yen, while the combination with the RF4500-24mm F105 L IS USM lens is priced at 4 yen.
