Canon announced that it has partnered with Sanchuang Life to open the Canon Image Square (CIS) concept store in Kaohsiung Dream Mall, with customer experience as its design concept. This store will allow consumers to fully enjoy Canon's full range of imaging products, including various digital cameras and lenses, photography accessories, printers and multifunction printers with large ink supply, and portable printers. The opening will also include store gifts, limited-edition gifts, and many additional value-added discounts.

Meet consumers' needs for product experience, consultation, shopping, and repairs
The Canon Image Square concept store in Dream Mall, which has been in trial operation since December 12, officially opened today (13/12) in Dream Mall Kaohsiung. It will cooperate with Canon Life and Dream Mall to provide high-quality services to consumers in South Kaohsiung with a full range of experience spaces.
The Canon Image Square concept store, which has opened in Kaohsiung Dream Mall, provides consumers with a high-quality immersive experience space that satisfies one-stop shopping needs. It also offers a glimpse into Canon's full range of imaging products sold in Taiwan, including digital cameras and lenses, photographic peripherals, printers and large-ink supply multifunction printers, and portable printers.
While many people used to order imaging products online, Canon points out that in recent years, more consumers have begun to prefer face-to-face consultations and hands-on experience of imaging products. At the same time, many imaging creators also choose to purchase the accessories they need directly in physical channels. The company believes that the continued expansion of its image concept stores will help connect with more consumer groups.
The concept store will also continue to host photography lectures, sharing sessions, workshops, and photography galleries to promote a diverse photography culture and provide a space for creative exchange. The concept store also offers professional product consultations, detailed product information, and a repair pickup service, making it easier for consumers to send in faulty photography equipment for repair. After repairs are completed by Canon technicians, the equipment can be shipped back to a designated location, eliminating the need to visit the concept store for pickup.

More concept stores will be opened in Taiwan's six major cities, with interactive content such as lectures and workshops tailored to each region.
Hu Dagang, President of Canon Information Taiwan, said that seven Canon Image Square concept stores have been opened in Taiwan. The company plans to expand to six more locations, including New Taipei City, Hsinchu, and Taoyuan, and cooperate with more department stores to display product counters. It also plans to upgrade existing independent channel stores to attract more consumers who prefer photography to understand the charm of Canon imaging products.

Hu Dagang is not concerned about the impact on the current consumer market, where smartphones are the primary means of photography. He believes that users accustomed to using their phones for photography are actually potential users who could "upgrade" to Canon imaging products. This is because using their mobile phones, which are always with them in daily life, for photography has long been a mainstream market trend. However, Canon, with its combination of various imaging technologies, still has a competitive advantage in tapping into the broader demand for high-quality images and more advanced image creation needs among these users.
Hu Dagang further pointed out that there are actually significant differences in photography demand in northern, central, and southern Taiwan. For example, customers in the north tend to focus more on using lightweight models for their creations, but there is also a demand for advanced models that pursue higher image quality and shooting speed. In contrast, in central and southern Taiwan, there is a greater demand for traditional SLR models. In particular, many customers focus on photographing subjects such as birds, street scenes, or vehicles, and have a significant demand for high-end models and higher-quality interchangeable lenses. Therefore, in addition to different marketing strategies in different regions, lectures, workshops, and other activities held at the Canon Image Square concept store will also focus on different themes.
As for product repairs, Hu Dagang stated that Canon will currently maintain its Taipei repair center, with professional staff performing repairs in accordance with Japan's strict standards. Therefore, it will be difficult to compromise and cooperate with external repair companies, or expand repair centers in central and southern Taiwan. The goal is to concentrate repair capacity and complete repairs and related adjustments to sent products according to precise procedures.
