Following the establishment of Canon Image Square (CIS) concept stores in various locations across northern, central, and southern Taiwan, Canon announced today (October 3rd) its official launch in New Taipei City. Located on the 8th floor of the conveniently located Far Eastern Department Store in Banqiao, this newest location marks the eighth Canon CIS concept store in Taiwan and the first in New Taipei City. This further strengthens the brand's presence in Taipei, New Taipei City, and surrounding areas.

The new concept store features a natural wood-style design, upholding Canon's signature high-quality design. Besides showcasing a comprehensive selection of digital cameras, lenses, printers, and accessories, it also emphasizes interaction and experiential learning. Both photography enthusiasts and beginners can experience the imaging performance of Canon products through on-site test shots and product manipulation.

Focusing on both in-depth experience and convenient services
Unlike traditional retail locations, the Canon CIS concept store is more than just a space for product display and sales; it also emphasizes experiential shopping and professional consulting. In-store sales staff will provide recommendations on photographic equipment selection based on consumer needs and offer tips on photography and image processing.
In addition, Canon has also introduced a "Convenient Collection Service": if consumers need to repair their camera, lens or printer, they only need to send the equipment to the image concept store, and it can be sent back to the original manufacturer for inspection through official channels, reducing time and inconvenience and further enhancing the after-sales service experience.

Partnering with Dongcheng International to promote brand localization
The opening ceremony was a collaboration between Canon and Dongcheng International, with senior executives from Banqiao Far Eastern Department Store, Dongcheng International, and Canon Taiwan Information participating in the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Canon Taiwan President Hu Dagang stated that the brand already has eight CIS concept stores in Taiwan and plans to continue expanding. Through interactive displays and on-site experiences, the brand hopes to help more consumers gain a deeper understanding of the value of the Canon imaging ecosystem.

Opening celebrations drive consumption boom
To celebrate the new location, Canon is offering a series of opening promotions from October 1st to 31st, including store gifts, check-in gifts, and bonus gifts. They also offer multiple purchase bonuses for EOS R series cameras and printers. These include limited-edition memory cards, straps, travel kits, and storage bags, with a total value ranging from hundreds to thousands of dollars. This promotion is expected to attract both photography enthusiasts and general consumers.
Extension of Canon's physical strategy
While overall camera market demand has been impacted by smartphones in recent years, demand for high-end photography and professional applications remains stable. Canon is expanding its CIS concept stores, not only establishing direct-to-consumer sales channels but also hoping to maintain brand loyalty among imaging enthusiasts through experiences and service.
With the opening of the new Far Eastern Department Store in Banqiao, Canon's brand visibility and service coverage in Taiwan have been further enhanced, demonstrating that the value of physical experience locations in the imaging industry remains irreplaceable.
