Canon earlier announced an update to its lightweight entry-level model, the EOS M200, which features a 180-degree flip-up screen and a detachable lens design.
Compared to previously launched models, the newly launched mirrorless model EOS M200 will target the needs of women who want a lighter camera that is also easier to use for shooting. The overall weight is only 262 grams, so there will be no noticeable weight burden even when carrying it with you.
In terms of hardware specifications, the EOS M200 uses a 2410-megapixel APS-C format CMOS sensor and is equipped with a DIGIC 8 image processor. It can also frame shots through a 3-inch, 180-degree flip-up touchscreen. The original kit lens is the EF-M 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM, and an additional EF-M 22mm f/2 STM fixed-focus lens is available as a set.
In terms of shooting functions, in addition to the same dual-pixel autofocus technology, it also adds eye detection and interaction function. In addition to the flip-up touch screen for selfies, the body also adds a quick-activation selfie mode with a beautifying effect, as well as a quick button design for short video recording. It can also record vertical videos for easy uploading to various social media sharing.
At the same time, all shooting functions are provided with a simple and easy-to-understand graphic interface to make it easier for users to get started, and even a silent shutter operation function is provided for environments that require extremely quiet.
The EOS M200 is expected to be launched in October this year, available in graphite black and silver. It is expected to be introduced and sold in Taiwan later.
