Borderlands 4 will launch on PlayStation 9, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on September 12th of this year, and is expected to be available on Nintendo Switch 5 later this year.
The "Game Deep Dive" promotional video released this time gives players a sneak peek at two of the four new Vault Hunters in "Borderlands 4". The powerful sorceress Vix can enhance herself and summon deadly minions to fight alongside her, while the steel soldier Rafa is a former Taidiwo infantryman wearing experimental exosteel armor that can digitally construct a variety of weapons.

Each Vault Hunter has a unique playstyle, further enhanced through Borderlands' most advanced skill tree system yet.
Players will freely traverse the seamless expanse of Kylo and confront the tyrannical Temporal Lord, who has hidden the planet for millennia, controlling its inhabitants with cybernetic implants called "electrobolts" and an army of synthetic soldiers called "The Order."
During your journey, you'll meet many new characters and familiar faces, battle a variety of creatures and inhabitants, and encounter unique factions scattered across four distinct regions of the planet, each seeking freedom from the tyranny of the Time Lord. You'll also be able to rally friends you make along the way and expose your enemies to the power of the Vault Hunter's diverse weapons and abilities.
In a captivating video released during PlayStation's "State of Play" presentation, Vix and Rafa infiltrate a secret facility nestled within the icy expanse of the Terminus Mountains. The video also showcases the incredible power of Borderlands 4's all-new gear system, which elevates the loot-crazed spirit of the series to unprecedented heights, including:
• Deadly weapons from eight manufacturers (both new and old), each with their own unique strengths.
• New “Licensed Parts” system that allows you to combine features from multiple manufacturers into a single weapon.
• The "Enhance" equipment slot can further enhance weapons according to the manufacturer's characteristics, allowing players to have more powerful firepower while optimizing their equipment configuration.
• The “Artillery” slot, a shared slot for heavy weapons like grenades and rocket launchers, will fill as it cools down, allowing players to stay fully stocked with ammunition even during particularly tough fights.
• The versatile "Repair Kit" allows players to heal themselves or gain temporary boosts, helping players turn the tide of battle in the heat of battle.
Additionally, Borderlands 4 features comprehensive enhancements for cooperative multiplayer, including a new online team-building system that allows friends to easily form a group and maintain their team integrity when switching game modes. Borderlands 4 was designed from the ground up for cooperative play, with each player having their own loot, dynamic level scaling, and individual difficulty settings to ensure everyone can fully enjoy the adventure.
