Bang & Olufsen (B&O) has announced the launch of its new Beo Grace true wireless earbuds in Taiwan. This product not only celebrates a century of craftsmanship for the brand but also aims to elevate "earbuds" into wearable "auditory jewelry." Inheriting the design language of the classic A8 earbuds, the Beo Grace features a refined design crafted from polished aluminum. Officially imported by Taiwan distributor Far Eastern Telecom, the suggested retail price is NT$40800, once again challenging the price ceiling for true wireless earbuds.
Paying homage to the A8 with aluminum craftsmanship, this "ear sculpture" is created.
The Beo Grace draws inspiration from fine jewelry and silversmithing. Its aluminum stems clearly pay homage to B&O's classic A8 headphones, bringing the iconic metallic feel into the wireless era through miniaturization technology.
Not only the earbuds themselves, but the charging case also features a fine pearlescent sandblasting finish, with hidden indicator lights and a hinge design, giving it the overall look of a minimalist metal sculpture. Furthermore, B&O has improved the oval ear tips, enhancing the fit and IP57 dust and water resistance, and added a nylon mesh layer to the ear tip structure to strengthen the protection of the earbud units.
Noise reduction improved by 4 times, 12mm titanium metal unit introduced
In terms of sound quality, the Beo Grace was tuned by B&O's professional sound engineers and features a 12mm titanium driver unit. Inheriting the acoustic principles of the flagship Beoplay H100 headphones, the official claim is that its active noise cancellation (ANC) performance is 4 times better than the brand's best previous products, effectively suppressing background noise and ear pressure.
Through the new EarSense technology, the headphones can simultaneously detect ambient noise and the characteristics of the user's ear canal, dynamically adjusting the sound performance. In addition, TrueTransparency mode and wind noise reduction technology with a six-microphone array ensure a natural listening experience and clear call quality in transparency mode.
Innovative operation and long-life battery technology
Beo Grace also brings innovations in user experience:
• NearTap volume adjustment:No touch panel is needed; simply tap in front of your ear to adjust the volume (right for volume up, left for volume down), solving the problem of inaccurate touch controls.
• Solid aluminum tube touch screen:Built-in pressure sensing provides a tactile feedback similar to mechanical buttons.
Even more noteworthy is the battery technology. B&O has partnered with battery intelligence brand Breathe to create a dedicated battery management system that allows the Beo Grace to achieve a battery life of over 2000 charge cycles, far exceeding the industry average of 500 cycles.
In terms of battery life, it offers 4.5 hours of listening time on a single charge with active noise cancellation enabled, and a total battery life of up to 17 hours with the charging case. It also supports fast charging, providing 2.5 hours of playback with just 5 minutes of charging.
Exclusive leather accessories will also be available.
To highlight its luxury positioning, B&O also launched an optional exclusive premium leather storage bag, available in three colors: "Midnight Black", "Cranberry Red" and "Shell Sand", with a suggested retail price of NT$9980.
Beo Grace is powered by the newly developed Amadeus Platform software platform, which emphasizes that performance can be continuously optimized through software updates in the future, demonstrating B&O's ambition to extend the product life cycle and create "timeless beauty".
