BlackBerry announced that it has signed a letter of intent for cooperation with the MIH Open Electric Vehicle Alliance. The MIH Open Electric Vehicle Alliance will select BlackBerry software as the basis for the next-generation electric vehicle platform, and use an open ecosystem to promote the transformation of the electric vehicle industry and accelerate innovation.
The MIH Open Electric Vehicle Alliance will use BlackBerry's secure and reliable software and services, through its unique modular design, as the software foundation of its electric vehicle platform, which is open and cross-platform.
The MIH Open Electric Vehicle Alliance and BlackBerry signed a letter of intent for cooperation. BlackBerry will authorize the MIH Open Electric Vehicle Alliance to use its BlackBerry QNX series products and the cloud-based artificial intelligence platform BlackBerry IVY. In addition, it also includes the QNX software development platform, QNX middleware technology, and professional engineering services for system-level integration, performance optimization and solution verification. Through BlackBerry's rich software solutions, the software platform of the MIH Open Electric Vehicle Alliance's vehicles can be more diverse and correspond to more innovative application services.

The MIH Open Electric Vehicle Alliance announced at the end of last yearProject X, will be a single-row three-seater electric vehicle designed for Asian consumers and is expected to debut at the Japan Mobility Show in Japan in October this year.
In addition, the MIH Open Electric Vehicle Alliance also plans to launch six-seater and nine-seater vehicle platforms in the next few years, thereby bringing more market choices and innovation space.
