Belkin unveiled a tool kit for creators at its CES 2025 pre-show event, which includes a set of wireless microphones and a tripod with magnetic fixing function. It may be launched as early as May this year.
The Belkin-branded wireless microphone, similar to products from brands like DJI, features a single receiver and two wireless microphones, all stored in a charging case. The microphone boasts a transmission range of up to 100 meters and offers 5.5 hours of continuous use on a single charge. It can also be attached to clothing using a clip.
As for the tripod with magnetic fixing function, it can be extended to a maximum of 170 cm. The magnetic base can correspond to different shooting angles. It can be used on iPhone models with built-in MagSafe magnetic interface, but it can also be used on Android phones with additional accessories such as magnetic protective cases.
Unlike current Chinese brands, which feature a camera that detects the subject's position and automatically tracks the subject, the tripod itself simply provides a fixed and elevated position. However, Belkin states that it can be used with the previously released DockKit auto-tracking professional bracket accessory to achieve an automatic tracking effect during filming.
Belkin also emphasized that this year it will increase the use of post-consumer plastic (PCR) in its products, with the proportion expected to increase from the previous 72-75% to 85-90%, thereby reducing the use of virgin plastic. This has already been used in over 359 products. The newly launched 45W and 65W dual USB-C chargers, as well as 70W and 100W GaN chargers and 2W wireless chargers that support Qi15 specifications, have all introduced a large amount of recycled plastic.
