EA announced the latest game in the Battlefield seriesBattlefield 6 (Battlefield 6) is now officially available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC platforms (Steam, EA App, Epic Games Store).
This title, created by Battlefield Studios, marks the series' official entry into a new era of next-generation warfare. Combining large-scale multiplayer battles, a cinematic single-player story, and an enhanced creation mode "Portal", it once again emphasizes the core spirit of the Battlefield series - the authentic chaos of total war.
A new battlefield amidst the global collapse
The game is set in 2027, a time when the global political order is in turmoil. NATO is crumbling due to internal divisions, and proxy wars and economic crises are raging across the globe. Players will face off against a private military force called the Peace Corps, whose ambition is to fill the power vacuum and reshape the global order.
In the single-player campaign, players assume the role of a member of the special forces unit "Dagger 13," fighting their way from the streets of Brooklyn to the deserts of Cairo, experiencing multi-national wars and tactical raids. EA states that the game's cinematic presentation combined with interactive battlefield design ensures that each conflict is both narratively charged and tactically profound.
Massive multiplayer combat returns to the heart of the series
Battlefield 6's multiplayer mode further expands upon the series' classic gameplay, including modes like Conquest, Breakthrough, and Assault, along with new combat types like "Full Escalation." Officials emphasize that the map environments not only support high-density player combat but also incorporate realistic destructible environments, allowing building collapses, explosions, and terrain changes to directly impact battlefield dynamics. The initial wave of maps includes over six large-scale maps, spanning the snow-capped mountains of Tajikistan, the Manhattan Bridge area, and the industrial suburbs of Cairo.
EA has also brought back the beloved "Portal" creation mode, with comprehensive upgrades to the tools and server management, allowing players to customize rules, class configurations, and even mission conditions to create their own battlefield experience. EA stated that "Portals" in Battlefield 6 will not only be an in-game feature, but also the core of the continued growth of community-created content.
The evolution of technology and tactical freedom
Battlefield Studios General Manager Byron Beede stated that Battlefield 6 represents the team's years-long redefinition of tactical freedom and dynamic destruction, enhancing combat with a more immersive feel through enhanced gunplay, vehicle physics, and AI response logic. "We want every battle to be a beautifully chaotic one, offering players true strategic choices."
The content continues to expand, and the first season "Undercover" will be released at the end of the month

Two versions are released, and EA Play members can enjoy preferential experience
Battlefield VI is available in two editions: the Standard Edition (NT$2099 / HK$549) and the Ghost Edition (NT$2999 / HK$789). The Ghost Edition includes additional content such as a limited-edition cosmetic pack, weapons, and a Battle Pass. EA Play members can enjoy a 6% discount on the digital version, as well as exclusive deployment packs and ongoing in-game rewards.
