8BitDo, which has launched many controller accessories in the past, recently celebrated its 10th anniversary and paid tribute to Nintendo's classic home game console, the Famicom.40th anniversary, launched its first mechanical keyboard product, and the color scheme uses the classic red and white color scheme of FamiCom Japanese standard and the gray design of US standard.
This mechanical keyboard features Kailh's second-generation white switches, along with Gateron green switches and enlarged "A" and "B" keys. Connecting to the keyboard via a 3.5mm cable allows for screen lock and toggle functions, or allows for customizable software functions.
As for the mechanical keyboard, it can be used via USB wired connection and 2.4GHz wireless connection. It has a built-in 2000mAh battery capacity, which corresponds to approximately 200 hours of continuous use. It supports Android and Windows operating system environments, and will also support macOS operating system.
Each set of keys on the keyboard can also be replaced by yourself, or customized through the software function. The corresponding Japanese FamiCom color version even has Japanese katakana printed on the keycaps.
In terms of the suggested retail price, this mechanical keyboard will be sold at US$100, while the enlarged "A" and "B" keys will be sold separately for US$20. Pre-orders are now open on the 8Bitdo official website, and can also be pre-ordered online through Amazon. The actual shipping time is August 10.
