Audi Taiwan announced today (July 7) the start of pre-sales for the Audi Q6 e-tron and Q8 Sportback e-tron series. The company will also open a limited-time "Audi House of Progress Taipei" brand concept store in Taipei's Xinyi District from July 8 to 7, showcasing the Audi urbansphere concept car, which embodies the third living space.
The Audi Q8 e-tron and Q8 Sportback e-tron series will have a suggested retail price range of NT$325 million to NT$395 million, with pricing confirmed in September. Pre-orders placed by the end of July will receive a free 9kW home charger and installation, as well as a one-year charging trial at a designated Audi partner charging network.
The Audi Q8 e-tron and Q8 Sportback e-tron series models adopt a new, simpler and more stylish brand identity and are equipped with evolved power technology, which increases battery energy density by 20% and enables a maximum range of up to 600 kilometers (WLTP test standard).
Among them, the Q8 e-tron is divided into two specifications, 50 advanced and 55 advanced, while the Q8 Sportback e-tron is divided into two designs, 50 S line and 55 S line. It is expected to follow the previously launched Audi e-tron, e-tron GT, and RS e-tron GT models to expand the electric vehicle lineup promoted in Taiwan.
The Q8 e-tron represents Audi's "e-volution" development strategy. The rear badge, finished in pure black, combines with the brand logo and model name inlaid on the B-pillar to create a modern, new brand identity. The grille adopts a family-inspired design language that extends into the headlight cluster, with striking lines connecting the Matrix LED headlights, creating a visually spacious and majestic appearance.
The aerodynamic design of the integrated front bumper and grille not only highlights the common family genes, but also embodies the low wind resistance body design, allowing the Q8 Sportback e-tron to achieve a minimum wind resistance of 0.24, the same as a sedan.
In addition, the use of new battery stacking technology has increased the overall energy density by 20% compared to the previous generation battery module. The Q8 e-tron models offer maximum battery capacities of 95 kWh and 114 kWh respectively, while the maximum charging power is increased to 170 kW. It takes 10 minutes to charge enough electricity to travel 123 kilometers, and about 30 minutes to charge the battery from 10% to 80%.
動力部分,Q8 e-tron 50 advanced與55 advanced車款分別具備340馬力與408馬力最大動力輸出,扭力同為664Nm,0-時速100公里加速最快可在5.6秒內完成。
As for the Q8 e-tron, the entire series is equipped with a quattro intelligent permanent four-wheel drive system and air suspension system, a dedicated integrated braking system, and a sports steering system. In terms of safety technology, the chassis battery module is strengthened and combined with a high-strength side anti-collision structure. At the same time, the entire series is equipped with safety assistance systems, allowing drivers to enjoy the fun of driving while also taking into account the safety of all passengers.
Audi UrbanSphere concept car
As for the Audi urbansphere concept car exhibited at the same time, it advocates the development of a passenger-centric cabin experience under the Level 4 autonomous driving architecture. Through the left and right openings, as you enter the cabin following the welcome lights, you can see the three-row, six-seat design with soft beige, gray and green tones and sustainable materials. The seats can also be adjusted by touch for angle, direction and position.
The interior features a conceptual design, with each seating area equipped with independent audio and a dedicated screen. Passengers can use MMI touchless response technology to activate a variety of personalized infotainment functions through voice, gestures, and eye tracking. A retractable transparent OLED screen sits between the two rows of seats, allowing rear passengers to watch movies, concerts, or participate in video chats. The vehicle also uses facial scanning and voice analysis to assess passenger stress, intelligently providing personalized relaxation suggestions and activating meditation apps.
The single-frame front panel no longer serves as a cooling vent, but has evolved into an "Audi Light Canvas," communicating with the outside world. Dynamic lighting effects communicate signals such as warnings, acceleration, and turn indicators to other road users. The left and right lighting design on the front of the car further evokes the overlapping circles of the four-ring logo, resembling the pupils of the Audi "Eyes." These "Eyes" automatically detect and adapt to traffic conditions, the environment, and even the emotions of the passengers. When the daytime running lights are activated, they adjust the focus of the light like an iris, showcasing the futuristic potential of advanced lighting technology.
Equipped with a Premium Platform Electric (PPE) platform, the Audi urbansphere concept car can store approximately 120kWh of electricity. An electric motor is installed on each axle, delivering a total output of 295kW/690Nm. The car is also equipped with e-quattro intelligent four-wheel drive technology and Audi adaptive air suspension, providing a high-quality driving experience.
When autonomous driving mode is engaged, the steering wheel, pedals, and instrument panel retract, transforming the vehicle into an experience platform. Regarding battery efficiency, the 800V system supports charging at up to 270kW, enabling over 10 kilometers of driving with just a 300-minute charge. Based on the WLTP test, the vehicle boasts a maximum range of 750 kilometers, enabling effortless driving in energy-intensive urban environments and on long-distance journeys.
