According to ASUS, it plans to launch its first AR phone, ZenFone AR, which uses Google Tango technology, during CES 2017 next year, while emphasizing that the product's features will be more attractive than its competitors.
The first mobile phone to use Google Tango technology was LenovoThe recently launched Phab2 Pro phone, primarily in conjunction with Intel RealSense cameras, combining human-like vision to achieve augmented reality applications. However, judging by Google Tango's technology, Intel RealSense camera technology isn't necessarily required. Regarding the CES 2017 event next year, ASUS has only revealed that there will be many new products unveiled. In addition to launching mobile phones that support augmented reality, ASUS is also expected to unveil virtual reality devices in cooperation with Microsoft, as well asNew desktop products compatible with Windows 10 Creators operating system, which is expected to include new AiO devices inspired by Microsoft Surface Studio, as well as several desktop products equipped with Intel Kaby Lake architecture processors.
