ASUS updated the 2025 ROG Strix Scar 2025 and 16 during CES 18, and also unveiled the ROG G700 gaming desktop, which will be equipped with NVIDIA's next-generation graphics card.
ASUS has softened the curves of the new ROG Strix Scar 16 and 18, making them suitable for both gaming and general work. Furthermore, the Anime Vision design, previously used on other products, has been re-introduced on the new ROG Strix Scar 16 and 18. The design also maintains ASUS's signature beveled lines, enhancing brand recognition.
The new ROG Strix Scar 16 and 18 also feature a tool-free disassembly design, making it easier for users to upgrade storage components, thereby increasing internal storage space. It also facilitates subsequent cleaning and repair of components such as internal fans. The Aura RGB lighting effects around the body have also been redesigned so that the light can completely circle around the bottom of the body.
In terms of hardware specifications, the new ROG Strix Scar 16 and 18 use Intel's upcoming new processor and are paired with NVIDIA's upcoming new graphics card. They support 64GB of DDR5 memory and 2TB+2TB of PCIe 4.0 storage capacity. They are equipped with ROG Nebula HDR display technology, a Mini LED display panel with a 16:10 display ratio and a 2.5K resolution design. The maximum brightness can reach 1200 nits, support NVIDIA G-STNC anti-display tearing technology, and are equipped with a 90Wh battery. They support Wi-Fi 7 wireless network technology and Intel Thunderbolt 5 specifications.
In addition to upgraded hardware specifications, the new ROG Strix Scar 16 and 18 also adopt a complete keyboard key configuration, and the touchpad area has been increased by 36%.
As for the new gaming desktop ROG G700, it uses Intel's new processor and is also equipped with NVIDIA's upcoming new graphics card. It uses a four-fan system to ensure stable internal temperature, allowing the desktop's computing performance to be output stably. It also uses an anti-dust system to prevent dust from affecting system operations. It also supports Aura RGB lighting effects, and can present gorgeous lighting effects through transparent and 3D visual lighting effects.
The desktop itself is compatible with Intel B860 or AMD B650 motherboards, and is designed to be disassembled and assembled without tools and support standard-size components.
