Intel recently confirmedterminationLaunched its own NUC small PC product and confirmed the cooperation with ASUSReaching an Agreement, continuing to promote small system products designed with Intel NUC, ASUS announced earlier that it would use Intel's 13th-generation Core series processors and its own design to create new NUC products.
At the same time, ASUS also stated that it has officially taken over the NUC product business and will be responsible for the sales of NUC products currently based on Intel's 10th to 13th generation Core series processors.
The current NUC series products cater to gaming, commercial, and edge computing applications, encompassing the NUC 13 Extreme series, NUC 13 Pro series, and NUC 13 Compute Element series. Once the NUC series is officially integrated into the ASUS ecosystem, it is expected to merge with ASUS's existing NUC-designed product lines, potentially leading to some scale adjustments.
The skull logo that Intel used to create the NUC for gaming will apparently no longer be used as it is incorporated into the ASUS system.
Intel recently announced that it will terminate the development of its NUC product business, but did not provide a specific reason for the termination. This may be related to its current efforts to streamline non-essential businesses, thereby focusing more development resources on processor product design and production.
In addition to ASUS continuing to produce NUC design products, brands including Dell, HP, Lenovo, ECS and others will also continue to launch corresponding products based on the Intel NUC design.
