DJI has been rumored recentlySmall drone "Flip", it was finally officially unveiled under the name DJI Flip earlier, and as rumored, it adopts a downward-folding, lighter body design.
In terms of appearance, DJI Flip is similar to the previously launched Neo, which is smaller and more suitable for portable flight photography, but its downward folding design makes the drone more convenient to carry around.
As for the overall weight being less than 249 grams, it means that no additional application or license is required in many places before it can be used for flight. Like Neo, it also has body buttons for users to operate functions such as take-off directly with their hands. At the same time, more precise operations can also be performed through the remote control accessories.
The camera of DJI Flip is equipped with the same 4/3-inch photosensitive element as mini 1 Pro and Mini 1.3, corresponding to the specification of 4800 million pixels. It also supports dual native ISO settings and 2.4μm pixel area merging function to cope with the shooting performance of greater light input. The video recording part also supports 4K 60p HDR specification and 100fps slow motion. It also supports DJI 10-bit D-Log M shooting format, which is convenient for subsequent adjustment after shooting, and can even maintain consistent picture color performance with other DJI products.
As previously revealed, the DJI Flip has a frame on the foldable rotors to prevent them from being damaged by collisions or injuring the user's hands during flight. Like the Neo, the DJI Flip also has noise reduction recording on the phone and automatic tracking functions, making it suitable for personal travel photography and other usage scenarios.
In addition, the DJI Flip has a maximum flight time of up to 31 minutes, has forward and downward visual obstacle avoidance functions, and the maximum image transmission distance is up to 13 kilometers. The body also has a built-in 2GB storage capacity. Although it is much smaller than the 22GB built-in capacity of Neo, it is still convenient for users to forget to install a memory card and can still record image content of a certain length of time.
In terms of suggested retail price, the DJI Flip with a regular remote control is NT$12990, the version with a screen remote control is NT$18490, and the Free Flight Kit which also comes with a screen remote control is NT$22990.
