Before Computex 2025 begins, ArmAnnounceThe product names will be adjusted in response to the market's different computing needs, and the corresponding computing scenarios will be clearly identified through individual product names.
This name adjustment primarily reorganizes the previously proposed computing subsystems (CSS). Rather than simply dividing them by the computing subsystems corresponding to consumer computing products (CSS for Client) or the Neoverse computing subsystem, the name will be more clearly distinguished from the different computing application areas of the products.
The computing platform for infrastructure facilities is Arm Neoverse, while the PC computing platform is named Arm Niva, the mobile device platform is named Arm Lumex, the automotive application is named Arm Zena, and the computing needs in the Internet of Things field are named Arm Orbis. In addition, the GPU part still uses the Mali brand.
In addition to simplifying product names and making them more intuitive, Arm will also differentiate performance levels through naming principles such as Ultra, Premium, Pro, Nano, and Pico, making it easier for developers and partners to understand features and version differences through Arm product names.
Arm CEO Rene Haas said that Arm's next generation of design products will begin to adopt a new naming method and continue to use its product design to promote the acceleration of artificial intelligence computing.
