The Information websiteSources indicate that Apple's plan to bring its "Apple Intelligence" service to the Chinese market may face challenges due to the Chinese government's strict regulation of related technologies.
In previous messagesApple is reportedly in talks with Baidu, Alibaba, Baichuan Intelligence and other companies that provide artificial intelligence models. It may follow the cooperation model with OpenAI in the United States to bring the "Apple Intelligence" service to the Chinese market.
Apple may first adopt Baidu's large-scale natural language model Ernie 4.0, so that the "Apple Intelligence" service can be provided and used in a localized form while also complying with relevant regulations for use in China.
However, Apple and Baidu may still disagree on how to use data. For example, Baidu hopes to further use iPhone user data for subsequent training of artificial intelligence models, but Apple's data privacy policy does not allow this. Therefore, if the two sides further compromise, coupled with China's regulations on the application of artificial intelligence technology, the user experience of "Apple Intelligence" services in the Chinese market may be relatively limited.
However, Apple has not yet publicly announced its cooperation model outside the United States, so it is not yet possible to confirm whether it will cooperate with Baidu and other industry players in the Chinese market as rumored.
