Apple announced that as of September 9 this yearFourth quarter financial results for fiscal year 2023, which shows that Apple's revenue in the last quarter reached US$894.98 billion, down about 1% from the same period last year, but sales of iPhone products and services hit a new high.
Among them, Apple's product sales revenue in the last quarter was US$671.84 billion, of which iPhone series product sales accounted for US$438.05 billion, but sales of Mac, iPad and wearable devices all declined, while service product revenue reached US$223.14 billion, a significant increase compared with the same period last year, but the overall total was still lower than the same period last year.
From the perspective of regional sales performance, the US market is still Apple's largest market and is also showing positive growth, but sales in the European market, Greater China market, Japan and the Asia-Pacific market have all declined.
As for the full-year performance in fiscal year 2023, Apple's total revenue as of the end of September this year was US$9 billion, of which total product sales revenue reached US$3832.85 billion, and total service product revenue was US$2980.85 billion, indicating that Apple's profit from product sales this year is indeed less than last year, but its service product revenue has increased a lot compared to last year, which also echoes Apple's previous development strategy of making services an important source of revenue.
However, many market opinions are still worried that the decline in iPhone sales will have an adverse impact. However, since the iPhone 15 series was announced in mid-September this year, some sales data has not yet been included in Apple’s financial report calculations. In addition, the recently announcedMac models equipped with M3 series processors, it is expected that Apple’s first quarter financial report for fiscal year 2024 will perform well.
In addition, Apple also expects iPad sales to increase with the new M3 processor, but the actual product launch may not have to wait until early next year. The Vision Pro, which is expected to officially enter the market next year, may also boost Apple's wearable device sales performance.
