Apple earlierVerified via the technical support page, since the launch of Apple Music's entry-level subscription plan in October 2021Voice control (Voice Plan) will be discontinued in November this year.
According to Apple's explanation, the "Voice Control" subscription plan will cease to be available starting in November. Existing subscribers will automatically have their renewal function turned off after the last paid subscription cycle ends, and will be advised to switch to other Apple Music subscription plans.
Apple did not state the reason for ending the "Voice Control" subscription plan through a press release, but the service itself only supports activation through the Siri digital assistant, and does not have lyrics, MV content, lossless sound quality, or spatial audio functions. It also does not provide Android and Windows versions. Although it is only priced at US$4.99 per month or NT$75 per month, it may not attract too many people to subscribe.
After the end of the "Voice Control" subscription plan, Apple Music's current entry-level subscription plan will be replaced by a student plan, which costs only NT$70 per month, but subscribers must meet student status qualifications. The monthly subscription price for the individual plan is NT$150, and the family plan that can be shared by up to 6 people is charged NT$240 per month.
