Apple earlier announced through its developer website that it will testA feature called "floating pricing", allowing developers to attract consumers to subscribe to different services at lower prices based on previous subscription purchase status.
With the floating pricing function proposed this time, Apple will allow developers to provide different pricing discounts based on consumers' actual purchasing status. Unlike the previous offer of combination discounts for purchasing different apps or subscribing to various services at the same time, consumers will be able to obtain different discounts based on their personal subscription status.
This feature is expected to be tested with select developers first and is expected to be available to more developers in the coming months.
Apple stated that this feature aims to encourage consumers to continue subscribing through variable pricing. For example, developers can offer more attractive discounts to consumers who subscribe to different services in succession, thereby persuading them to subscribe to more services. The variable pricing discounts will be exposed through the App Store and other relevant promotional channels to attract consumer attention.
