As Apple prepares to unveil the Apple Watch's release schedule and full pricing details, sources suggest the company may continue to release a platinum model, though this may not be revealed at this special event. Furthermore, regarding the Watch Edition, which features an 18K gold frame, there's speculation that Apple may also offer a gold band accessory.
According to sources cited by the Wall Street Journal, Apple has recently been researching platinum watch bezel designs, suggesting the possibility of a platinum bezel for the next version, though this likely won't be revealed at this special event. Regarding the Watch Edition, which features an 18K gold frame, some speculate that Apple may release a gold strap accessory, possibly at this event.
If Apple confirms that it will hold a special event on March 3th (Pacific time) to unveil accessories such as the gold strap, it may increase the overall price of the Watch Edition. Prior to this, there was already market opinion that, in addition to the entry-level Apple Watch with a suggested retail price of $9, the highest price could be as high as $349, indicating that Apple may use the Apple Watch to create a high-priced wearable product market.
The Apple Watch will be available in two sizes (38mm and 42mm) and three versions (regular, sport, and classic). A variety of strap combinations are available for users to choose from. The watch itself supports inductive charging and is waterproof for everyday use. Some models feature scratch-resistant sapphire glass, while others feature Ion-X protection. Operation remains controlled by touch and the right crown, and it must be connected to an iPhone or iPad. NFC payment is supported, and the watch is expected to launch as early as April of this year.
The battery life can still be exhausted in as fast as 2 hours, and the power saving mode can extend the usage time to more than 3 days, but basically normal use still requires daily charging.
In anticipation of the upcoming Apple Watch launch, Apple will also offer hands-on experiences in some of its stores. However, initially, this will likely be limited to Apple Stores, which will offer the best experience. Other retail channels, such as Best Buy, Macy's, Saks, Bloomingdales, and Barney's, may not offer the Apple Watch for sale in its early stages of launch.
