The watch face boasts a 3% increase in display area compared to the Apple Watch Series 30. The case is available in silver, black, and light gold, and the base has been redesigned with a nylon composite material to match the case color. The processor shares the same design as the Apple Watch Series 8, boasting a 30% increase in computing power and 20% faster app launch speeds compared to the original Apple Watch SE. The watch also incorporates WR50 underwater resistance and features standard Apple Watch features such as abnormal heartbeat detection, crash detection, and fall detection.
The second-generation Apple Watch SE is available in GPS version and GPS+Cellular version. The former has a suggested retail price of US$249, and the latter has a suggested retail price of US$299. Pre-orders will be available from now on and will be available on September 9.
Another watch product unveiled this time is the Apple Watch Ultra, which is designed for outdoor activities. It is advertised as having better protection than previous Apple Watches. The screen is covered with a fully flat sapphire glass and is paired with a 49mm wide titanium case to withstand greater impact force and temperature fluctuations ranging from -30 degrees Celsius to 55 degrees Celsius. It can also withstand a depth of 40 meters and meets the WR100 and EN13319 protection specifications. It can even be worn directly for diving.
In terms of functions, the Apple Watch Ultra is equipped with an independent button called the Action button on the other side, which allows users to intuitively activate the setting functions, such as turning on exercise tracking, adding exercise functions, etc. It also adds a second set of loudspeakers with better sound amplification effects. It is not only convenient for users to make calls through the watch outdoors, but can even turn on the emergency call function in an emergency, allowing the Apple Watch Ultra to emit a sound that can be heard from 180 meters away, thereby calling for help.
To allow users who participate in outdoor activities, extreme marathons and other activities to use it with greater peace of mind, Apple Watch Ultra provides a battery life of 36 hours on a single charge. With low power consumption mode, the battery life can be extended to 60 hours. In low light conditions, it also provides a black background with red text display mode, making it easier for users to see the screen. It also supports L1+L5 GPS positioning function to correspond to more accurate positioning effects, and the compass function also incorporates positioning data.
