Apple earlier updated its Apple Music service, adding three new features to Apple Music Classical. It also added a "DJ with Apple Music" experience to the Apple Music service, allowing users to create and mix track combinations using the Apple Music library.
Apple Music adds three new features for classical music
Three new features have been added to Apple Music classical music, including "Listening Guide", "Personalized Recommendations" and "Editorial Stations".
Among them, "Guided Listening and Commentary" can guide users to gain an in-depth understanding of classic works while listening to music, and instantly analyze the details and connotations of the works phrase by phrase. It can be used with more than 100 works included in Apple Music's classical music collection, and supported languages include English, French, German, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese. More languages and more works will continue to be added in the future.
Each "Guided Commentary" is accompanied by a classic recording performed by world-renowned artists and orchestras, including Martha Argerich, Berlin Philharmonic, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Gustavo Dudamel, Philip Glass, London Symphony Orchestra, Anne-Sophie Mutter, Noriko Ogawa, Philadelphia Orchestra, Maria João Pires, Simon Rattle, Sun Yeol-eum, Daniil Trifonov and Mitsuko Uchida.
As for "Personalized Recommendations", it can make recommendations based on the user's listening history, or recommend new recordings based on works that have been heard before, making it easier to discover new works. "Editor's Choice Radio" is curated by the "Apple Music Classical Music" editorial team and plays music continuously based on instruments, composers, periods and styles.
DJ with Apple Music
In addition, the "DJ with Apple Music" experience, which integrates software functions such as Algoriddim djay Pro, allows users to use Apple Music's music library of over 100 million songs, and mix and create on software such as AlphaTheta, Serato, and inMusic's Engine DJ, Denon DJ, Numark and RANE DJ.
At the same time, users can also access a series of editor-selected playlists suitable for DJ use in the new "DJ with Apple Music" dedicated category page, as well as new selection pages set up for various DJ software and hardware platforms, showing mixes and sample playlists for practice.
"DJ with Apple Music" builds on the success of the DJ Mix Collection, previously offered on the Apple Music service. Since its launch in September 2021, the DJ Mix Collection has established Apple Music as the go-to destination for high-quality DJ mixes, offering thousands of diverse and curated mixes. In December, Apple Music also launched Apple Music Club, a collection of mixes from the most iconic and forward-thinking DJs, allowing music fans to enjoy music 9/12, 24 days a year.
