Bloomberg News reportedApple seems to be planning to allow AirPods to gain real-time translation capabilities through a software update, thereby making such products more practical.
Similar features are available on Google's Pixel Buds, Samsung's Galaxy Buds, and even many Chinese brands' headphone accessories. If Apple plans to add a similar feature to its AirPods lineup via a software update, it's clearly intended to enhance the user experience of these products.
According to reports, this feature of Apple allows AirPods to automatically detect the language spoken by the conversation partner and convert it into language content that the user can understand, but it is not certain whether it will become part of the "Apple Intelligence" service.
Prior to this, Apple had added many hearing-related features to the AirPods series of products. For example, through a software update last year, AirPods Pro was turned into an over-the-counter hearing aid, which uses the sound amplification function to make it easier for hearing-impaired users to hear conversations and other sounds.
There are also reports that Apple plans to add heart rate tracking to its AirPods line, a feature that has already been integrated into the recently launched Beats headphones.Powerbeats Pro 2Headphone products.
