Bloomberg News reporter Mark GurmanReportIt is said that Apple has already started to build a chatbot service similar to ChatGPT, and it is called "Apple GPT" by engineers.
This chatbot service is said to be built on Google's deep learning framework Jax, and is therefore internally called "Ajax." It is expected to compete with the automatically generated artificial intelligence technology application services that are becoming increasingly popular in the current market.
Apple initially opposed the internal development of this project for security reasons, but later resumed internal use, but only after a special application was made. It was also strictly prohibited to use automatically generated content for any consumer or customer-facing functions.
Currently, Apple is primarily developing and designing this service, and appears to have no plans to make it publicly available. Apple employees who have used the service revealed that the overall design of "Ajax" is similar to ChatGPT and Google Bard, even presenting it with a simple web interface.
Regarding the application of artificial intelligence technology, Apple CEO Tim Cook has repeatedly stated in recent interviews thatOptimistic about the development of such technologyAt the same time, although Apple has recently releasedNeither of them specifically emphasizes the use of artificial intelligence technologyHowever, it does show that through deep learning, machine learning and other methods, products and services can better understand consumers' current needs, such as finding yourself in a certain year and month among many photos, or letting Apple Watch know if you have accidentally fallen.
