Apple CEO Tim Cook recentlyearnings conferenceApple has confirmed that it expects to add more languages for the "Apple Intelligence" service in April this year, including French, German, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese. It also plans to provide localized English for Singapore and India.
Apple also mentioned on its official Apple Intelligence website that Vietnamese support will be added by 2025. As for Chinese, the website doesn't specifically indicate whether it supports Simplified or Traditional Chinese, but it's expected to support both, though the actual launch date may vary.
According to Tim Cook's explanation, at least the "Apple Intelligence" service corresponding to Simplified Chinese will be updated in April this year, but it is still unclear whether it will be available only for the Chinese market or for use in all regions.
Prior to this, many people speculated that if Apple wanted to provide "Apple Intelligence" services in the Chinese market, it would have to cooperate with local cloud service providers, or follow Chinese government regulations to set up localized services within the country, and all data must be stored within China.
Apple recently registered in the Shanghai Free Trade ZoneEstablishment of a technology development company, relevant views believe that this is to prepare for "Apple Intelligence" in China.
In addition, Apple has recently been reported to be in talks with Chinese companies such as Baidu, Alibaba, and Baichuan Intelligence to cooperate. It has also been reported to have joined Tencent and ByteDance in artificial intelligence technology, and to have registered a technology development company in the Shanghai Free Trade Zone. This seems to indicate that Apple is preparing to launch a local version of the "Apple Intelligence" service in China.
