YouTube, Netflix, Disney+ and other online services have successively announced response costs.Prices must increaseAfter the news, Apple also seems to have started adjusting the price of iCloud services in some regions.
Among them, the iCloud subscription fee in the UK has been adjusted from the original 50 pounds per month for the entry-level 0.79GB plan to 0.99 pounds, the 200GB plan has been adjusted from 2.49 pounds to 2.99 pounds, and the 2TB plan has increased from 6.99 pounds to 8.99 pounds, with an average increase of about 25%.
In addition to the UK, price increases have also occurred in Poland, Romania, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Sweden, Tanzania, Turkey, Brazil, Colombia, Hungary, Iceland, and other regions.
This wave of adjustments may be related to fluctuations in international currency exchange rates, but it may also reflect local operating costs. After all, the new version of iCloud+ service adds privacy relay, hiding real email and HomeKit security recording functions, which will more or less increase Apple's additional expenses.
However, Apple explained the reason for the price increase for iCloud services in specific regions, and did not disclose whether it would adjust subscription prices for services in more countries and regions in the future.
