Apple's move is seen as a positive response to the policy of reshoring manufacturing to the United States, which was strongly promoted by US President Trump during his term. Earlier this year, the company announced the expansion of its Advanced Manufacturing Fund, with an initial investment of$5000 million, and then in August this year, the total investment amountIncreased to US$6000 billion, to support the supply chain that produces its products in 13 states across the United States.

The new plant is ahead of schedule and is still under expansion
In an interview with Fox News, Apple's Chief Operating Officer, Sabih Khan, revealed that the new 25-square-foot factory in north Houston was originally scheduled to begin operations in 2026. However, due to the ahead-of-time construction schedule, the factory was able to begin shipping AI servers ahead of schedule. Sabih Khan also added that the factory is still under construction and expansion.
The White House praised Apple's investment plan earlier this year, which is expected to directly create 2 new jobs in the United States and drive suppliers to create thousands of additional positions.
