Apple announced a five-year exclusive broadcasting rights agreement with Liberty Media, the parent company of Formula One. Starting with the 2026 season, all F1 races in the United States will be broadcast exclusively on the Apple TV platform. This major partnership will completely change the viewing experience for American racing fans.
Comprehensive event coverage and subscription plans
Under the agreement, subscribers to the rebranded Apple TV service (formerly Apple TV+) will be able to watch all Grand Prix, practice, qualifying, and sprint sessions. Non-subscribers will be able to watch "select races" for free in the Apple TV app, while all practice sessions will be free to watch.
It is worth noting that the current F1 TV Pro service (originally $130 per year) will become a free benefit for Apple TV subscribers in the U.S. Users only need to link their F1 TV account with a valid Apple TV subscription account to enjoy advanced features such as multi-angle viewing, driver footage, team radio chats, real-time telemetry data and tire usage analysis, as well as live content from F2, F3, F1 Academy and the Porsche Super Cup.
