To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Apple Music, Apple announced the opening of Apple Music Studios, a new Apple Music artist creation space in Culver City, Los Angeles. This marks its continued investment in music creation, streaming content, and artist connections, and further strengthens Apple Music’s role as an innovative platform for the global music industry.
Spanning three floors and covering over 15000 square feet, Apple Music Studios is Apple Music’s largest creative project to date. Combining immersive sound production, real-time content creation, and a social interaction space, it not only provides artists with creative freedom for recording, performing, and conversation, but also demonstrates Apple’s ongoing commitment to an artist-centric approach.
“Through this creative space, we hope to further our mission of supporting artists’ voices and creativity, and to deepen the connection between artists and their fans,” said Rachel Newman, co-head of Apple Music.
Integrating creativity and technology to create an immersive music production base
The new creative space includes two advanced broadcast recording studios that support spatial audio playback, a 4000-square-foot multi-camera studio, a spatial audio mixing room equipped with a 9.2.4 PMC speaker system, as well as a social media laboratory and editing space to meet the comprehensive needs of artists from creation, recording, performance to social interaction.
In addition, the "A-List Corridor" and "Archive Corridor" showcase classic moments of Apple Music's collaboration with major artists over the past decade, making the space itself an important place to review music culture.
Apple also revealed that the creative space in Los Angeles will form a global network together with creative bases in New York, Tokyo, Paris, Berlin, and Nashville. In the future, it will continue to expand bases to further connect local culture with the global music market.
