Bloomberg NewsRefers toApple is expected to announce two to three new products this week, including a new iPad Pro, an updated Vision Pro, and an entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro. All three products are expected to be equipped with the new M5 processor.
The report stated that Apple will only announce the new product through press releases and online content updates, and it is expected to be announced on Tuesday local time in the United States (possibly on the evening of October 14th, Taiwan time).
iPad Pro: Equipped with M5 processor and memory increased to 12GB
A Russian YouTuber's unboxing video previously revealed the new iPad Pro's appearance and some of its specifications, including an upgraded M5 processor and a memory capacity increase to 12GB, apparently to accommodate Apple Intelligence applications. While the overall appearance remains largely unchanged, the "iPad Pro" logo on the back has been removed.
效能方面,根據Geekbench 6測試數據顯示,M5處理器維持9核心的CPU (3組高效能核心與6組節能核心)配置,整體多核心效能相比M4提升約12%,GPU效能則提升高達36%。
There have been rumors that the new iPad Pro will feature a dual front-facing camera to maintain a natural viewing angle for both horizontal and vertical video calls. However, this change was not seen in the Russian unboxing video, so it remains to be officially announced and confirmed.
Updated Vision Pro: M5 processor, new headband, and space black color scheme
Another focus is the Vision Pro virtual reality headset, which is expected to be upgraded with an M5 processor and a new, more comfortable "Dual Knit Band" headband. Furthermore, a new Space Black color scheme may be added.
Although there were previous rumors that the Vision Pro would incorporate an R2 auxiliary chip built with TSMC's 2nm process to enhance input computing processing, existing supply chain information indicates that Apple's schedule for introducing 2nm process processors is still expected to fall in the second half of 2026.
It's unclear whether this update will be called the "second-generation Vision Pro," especially given previous reports that Apple has suspended development of its lightweight "Vision Air" to focus on developing smart glasses.
14-inch MacBook Pro: Entry-level model updated first
Apple also appears to be preparing to launch an entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro equipped with an M5 processor, but the overall design will be similar to the previous generation, representing a routine specification update. The MacBook Pro with the advanced M5 Pro or M5 Max processor will be launched in early 2026 (spring), and a 16-inch screen version will also be available.
As for more significant revisions, they are expected to debut in the next two generations of models. At that time, the MacBook Pro will introduce OLED displays, touch screens, thinner bodies, built-in mobile network connectivity, and be equipped with an M6 processor built with a 2nm process.
Other products are still under development
In addition to the three new products mentioned above, Apple continues to plan to update Apple TV, HomePod mini, AirTag, as well as the entry-level iPad, iPad Air, Studio Display, MacBook Air and new iPhone 17e that will be launched early next year.
