According to Bloomberg News reporter Mark Gurman, Apple may release the iOS 18.1 beta 1 test version update to developers as early as this week, which may allow developers to be the first to experience the "Apple Intelligence" service that will be released this fall.
Apple is expected to test the "Apple Intelligence" service earlier, so it is rare to provide developers with a preview of iOS 18 before the official version of iOS 18.1 is released. The official version is expected to be available in October this year, which means it will be open for testing some time after the launch of the new iPhone 10.
In addition to providing the iOS 18.1 beta 1 test version for iPhone models, Apple also plans to provide iPadOS 18.1 beta 1 for iPad models, allowing developers to test the "Apple Intelligence" service-related application experience in advance.
However, Apple currently only plans to provide the "Apple Intelligence" service in the United States. At the same time, the more complete "Apple Intelligence" service and the new version of Siri that combines artificial intelligence application services to provide a more natural interactive experience will not be released until next year.
The "Apple Intelligence" service will initially be available only in English, with more languages planned for next year. As for the European Union, Apple recently stated that it will not be offering the "Apple Intelligence" service in the region anytime soon, citing current EU regulations.
