With this update, users can now access bicycle routes in Taiwan on Apple Maps, including dedicated bike lanes, shared paths, and other cyclist-friendly streets. Whether commuting in the city or on a weekend getaway, Apple Maps provides a variety of thoughtful features, including elevation previews, detailed route information, and reminders to pull over when you get off your bike.
During navigation, Apple Maps displays real-time elevation information to help users avoid steep slopes, improving overall riding efficiency and comfort. When approaching complex intersections, the system will proactively remind users to dismount and lead the way to ensure safe driving. Navigation is available in both Traditional Chinese and English, tailored to local user preferences.
In addition to the basic voice guidance function, Apple has further integrated the Apple Watch user experience. Through the built-in speaker and haptic feedback of Apple Watch, users can get instant turn prompts without having to look down at their phone, thereby improving safety while riding and making the overall user experience smoother and more intuitive.
