In addition to unveiling full details and pricing for the upcoming Apple Watch (previously only the entry-level model was revealed to be $24), the long-rumored 399-inch MacBook series will also be unveiled. However, market opinion suggests the new model will be the 12-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display, not the previously rumored 12-inch MacBook Air, with a starting suggested retail price of $12 (approximately NT$1099).
Prior to this, market supply chain rumors had suggested the new MacBook Air would feature a micro USB Type-C port, eliminate the headphone jack, and feature an Intel Core M-series processor and a fanless design, further reducing weight and weight. Rumors also suggested it might feature a Retina display, with a release expected in the first quarter of this year. Production will likely be handled by Quanta Computer and Pegatron.
