Updated:Apple earlier confirmed that it will provide a delivery service within 3.5 hours for products ordered on its official website in China, also shipped directly through the Apple Store. However, this service is currently only available in Shanghai, and consumers must pay an additional RMB 45 (approximately NT$200). The corresponding products include iPhones, iPads, Macs, etc.
In addition, Apple also provides delivery services during designated time periods on its official website in China, and offers the option of free delivery.
After Apple spent quite some time updating its online Apple Store, it announced on its official US website that it would provide a two-hour delivery service. Products will be shipped from the Apple Store closest to the consumer's designated delivery point, allowing them to be delivered to consumers faster.
Currently, the 2-hour delivery service is only available at specific locations in the United States, and an additional US$9 (approximately NT$270) service fee will be charged. Consumers can still choose free next-day delivery or pick up the product in person at the Apple Store.
Although this service has not yet been launched in other regions, it will obviously provide fast delivery services according to different market conditions. For example, on the Apple Store page of Apple China's official website, some products will show "3-hour delivery service is not available", which seems to mean that Apple will provide different short-time delivery services for different regions.
However, this service is not currently available in Taiwan. The reason may be that there are only two Apple Stores in Taiwan, and they are only in Taipei City.
As for Apple's recent move to provide short-term product delivery services through Apple Stores, it is clear that Apple hopes to increase consumers' willingness to purchase through such services and enhance its own product sales potential.
