Apple announced earlier that its subsidiaries...Apple Fitness+, a fitness and wellness serviceIt is confirmed that the service will officially launch in Taiwan on December 15th. This is the largest expansion plan since the service was launched five years ago, and in addition to Taiwan, it will also be launched simultaneously in a total of 28 markets, including Hong Kong, Singapore, Chile, India, Japan, and the Netherlands.

The biggest difference between Fitness+ and other fitness apps or YouTube videos on the market lies in its deep integration with Apple's hardware ecosystem.
Jay Blahnik, Apple's vice president of fitness technology, stated that the integration across Apple devices provides users with unparalleled motivation. When users watch workout videos on their iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV while wearing an Apple Watch, their heart rate, calorie consumption, and progress in the "Activity Tracker" circle will be displayed in real time on the screen.
This update also supportsNew AirPods Pro 3Even without an Apple Watch, users can view their personal metrics on the screen via headphones. In addition, the well-known "Burn Bar" feature allows users to anonymously compare their intensity with others who have previously done the same workout, stimulating a competitive mindset.
12 training courses + K-Pop music support
In terms of content, Fitness+ offers 12 fitness programs, including strength training, yoga, HIIT (high-intensity interval training), Pilates, dance, exercise bike, kickboxing, and meditation, with each episode ranging from 5 to 45 minutes in length.
To make workouts less boring, music is a key element. Fitness+ has deeply integrated with Apple Music, adding K-Pop music to its existing genres like hip-hop and R&B, featuring popular tracks from top artists worldwide. The "Artist Spotlight" series includes tracks from heavyweight artists such as Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and BTS.Personalized training playlist.
For outdoor enthusiasts, the "Time to Walk" feature allows users to listen to stories shared by celebrities. The latest guest is Formula 1 (F1) racing driver Yuki Tsunoda.
"Customized Plans" help you schedule your classes.
For those unsure what to train for, Fitness+ offers a "Custom Plans" feature. The system automatically creates a personalized training schedule based on the user's preferences (such as activity type, duration, coach, and music). Additionally, there's a "Features" feature offering themed content such as "Run Your First 5K" or "Barefoot Training."
The monthly fee is NT$150; one subscription allows the whole family to enjoy the benefits.
As for the price, which is what everyone is most concerned about, Apple Fitness+ subscriptions in Taiwan cost NT$150 per month or NT$1190 per year. The most appealing aspect is that this subscription plan can be shared with up to five family members at no extra cost.
To promote the service, customers who purchase a new Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, or the new AirPods Pro 3 or Powerbeats Pro 2 will receive a 3-month free trial.
Fitness+ requires an iPhone 8 or later model running iOS 16.1 or later, or an Apple Watch Series 3 or later model running watchOS 7.2 or later. While Chinese voice-over is not currently supported (German and Spanish voice-over will launch on December 15th, and Japanese voice-over and the Japanese market will launch early next year), Chinese subtitles are expected to be provided for seamless integration for Taiwanese users.
