The Ryzen 9000 series desktop processors are available in two specifications: Ryzen 9 9950X and Ryzen 9 9900X. The former is equipped with 16 cores, 32 threads, a maximum operating clock of 5.7GHz, and a total of 80MB of cache memory, with a thermal design power consumption of 170W. The latter is equipped with 12 cores, 24 threads, a maximum operating clock of 5.6GHz, and a total of 76MB of cache memory, with a thermal design power consumption of 120W.
In addition, AMD also launched two Ryzen 65 7X and Ryzen 9700 5X processors, both with a thermal design power consumption of 9600W. The former has 8 cores, 16 threads, a maximum operating clock of 5.5GHz, and a total of 40MB of cache memory, while the latter has 6 cores, 12 threads, a maximum operating clock of 5.4GHz, and a total of 38MB of cache memory.
The Ryzen 9000 series desktop processors launched this time will be compatible with motherboards equipped with the X870 or X870E chipset, adopt an AM5 Socket pin design, and all correspond to USB 4.0 connection specifications. In addition, they also support PCIe Gen 5 and NVMe SSD modules, and even support memory modules with overclocking expansion profiles (EXPO).
