AMD earlierAnnounceAcquired open source artificial intelligence software company Nod.ai to enhance its own artificial intelligence market layout capabilities.
However, AMD did not disclose the amount involved in this transaction, but considering Nod.ai's recent market valuation of approximately US$3650 million, the actual acquisition amount is expected to be higher than this.
Founded in 2013, Nod.ai provides optimized AI solutions for large data center operators and their clients. AMD's acquisition will strengthen its AI application portfolio, allowing it to compete with competitors like NVIDIA and Intel.
As for being incorporated into the AMD system, it will help AMD promote the development of open source artificial intelligence applications and correspond to AMD's current focus on cloud, edge computing, and Internet of Things application strategies.
Prior to this, AMD announced in August this year that it would acquire Mipsology, a French artificial intelligence startup founded in 8, to help AMD develop more artificial intelligence reasoning and optimization solutions.
