Amazon offers Prime Video, its streaming video serviceA tool called "X-Ray Recaps", can use artificial intelligence to automatically generate previous review content based on personal video viewing progress, allowing users to quickly connect to previously watched plots.
Amazon said the idea of providing this tool is mainly due to the fact that many people may be interrupted by other things when watching streaming video content through mobile phones, TVs and other devices, so they will not continue watching until some time later, and they will need to take some time to review the previously watched plot.
Therefore, the "X-Ray Recaps" tool uses artificial intelligence to generate review content, allowing users to quickly connect to their original viewing progress in a concise and easy-to-understand manner, thereby reducing the "trouble" of users when continuing to watch.
According to the instructions, this tool can generate review content covering the entire season, part of the plot or the key points of a single episode, and can generate content according to personal viewing progress. The plot review can be accurate to within one minute of the user's viewing interruption. It also emphasizes that the artificial intelligence model behind the tool has been fully trained to avoid the situation where "thunderbolts" occur in advance without watching the plot.
In addition, the review content generation highlights include key plots, character descriptions, and summarizes content details in short text snippets, allowing users to connect to previously watched plots in a simple way.
This tool, based on the Amazon Bedrock model, will initially be available in beta to Fire TV users, with expansion to more Amazon devices by the end of the year. However, it will only be available for original content from Amazon MGM Studios, including "Daisy Jones & the Gang," "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," "Upload," "The Wheel of Time," and "The Boys."
