Previously launched on iOS in the EUThird-party software market AltStore PAL, earlier announced the launch of an erotic appHot Tub, and is advertised as the first Apple-approvedPorn Apps.
However, the facts claimed by AltStore PAL are obviously not officially recognized by Apple, because Apple expressed its concerns about the impact of this app in subsequent statements, especially the possible risks to children in the EU, and it may also affect consumers' trust in the Apple ecosystem.
The statement of AltStore PAL clearly violatesApple's standard principles for app descriptions, that is, it should not state or suggest that Apple is the App supplier, or approve of descriptions of the App’s specific content, functions, etc.
In a subsequent statement, AltStore PAL emphasized that its description was not false, and further emphasized that "Hot Tub" had passed Apple's relevant verification and was approved for listing, and could be downloaded, installed and used through the AltStore PAL platform. The content described by AltStore PAL was based on this approval result. It even stated that under the regulatory principles of the EU Digital Markets Directive, AltStore PAL could actually list and provide "Hot Tub" on its own, but it still chose to list it through Apple's approval process.
Apple later added that in the EU Digital Markets Act, the European Commission requires Apple to allow third-party software markets such as AltStore PAL and Epic Game Store to independently distribute and provide various types of apps for download. It also criticized the EU for apparently not paying as much attention to user safety as Apple.
