Before Apple is expected to launch its first foldable iPhone this fall, officially igniting the market war, OPPO chose to hold a global launch event in Shenzhen today (March 17th) to preemptively unveil its new generation foldable flagship phone, the Find N6. This launch event was not only an arms race of hardware specifications, but also a technological declaration to potential users that "creases are completely a thing of the past."

The creases are almost gone and the texture is delicate.
Holding the Find N6 in your hand, the first thing you notice is its perfectly balanced weight. Despite having an 8.12-inch inner screen and a 6.12-inch outer screen with a 1.4mm narrow bezel, the body weighs about 225 grams and is only 8.94mm thick, so it doesn't feel too heavy when held in one hand. OPPO also emphasizes that the rounded edges of the body frame significantly reduce the rough feeling when holding the phone without a case.

At the launch event, OPPO emphasized its technological breakthrough of "no creases in both sight and touch," boasting that the obvious "groove" of previous foldable phones has almost disappeared when viewed at the fold in the center of the inner screen after multiple openings and closings and under different lighting angles. It has also passed the German Rheinland's durability test of up to 60 folds.
According to official information, this is thanks to two new technologies: the "Titanium Alloy Dome Hinge" and "Dome Memory Glass." The new hinge structure consists of 136 components, which can control the screen's undulations within a very small range when unfolded, and reduce unevenness of the hinge components through liquid 3D printing. The memory glass, which claims to have more than three times the rigidity of traditional flexible glass, boasts the ability to repair minor creases from daily use through molecular-level forces, with a recovery rate of nearly 99.9% and a 338% improvement in deformation resistance. This allows the inner screen to maintain near-flatness even after multiple folds, and the creases are reduced by 82% compared to the previous Find N5.

OPPO stated that although the inner screen display panel uses components supplied by Samsung, the combination of OPPO's self-developed flexible glass and 3D hinge will allow the inner screen of the Find N6 to have a smoother fold. OPPO even boasts that it can maintain a high level of competitiveness in 2026 and even 2027, and will not be afraid of competition from Apple's upcoming foldable iPhone models. OPPO also revealed that the hinge design on the Find N6 will be used in the next new foldable phone.

As for the design, the Find N6 is available in three colors: original titanium, gold orange, and deep black. Among the available options, the original titanium has the most outstanding metallic matte texture, which not only has a subtle light and shadow effect but also effectively resists fingerprints. OPPO also emphasized that by combining titanium metal with 7000 series aluminum alloy, the frame strength is improved while maintaining a certain light weight.
In terms of hardware specifications, the Find N6 uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and comes with 12GB or 16GB of RAM, as well as 256GB, 512GB and 1TB of storage. The battery capacity is 6000mAh, supporting 80W SUPERVOOC wired fast charging and 50W SUPERVOOC wireless flash charging. OPPO also emphasized that the Find N6's antenna design has been redesigned to further improve its connectivity.
In addition, OPPO also touted the enhanced drop resistance and screen bending durability of the Find N6, and added the highest IP59 protection design to the waterproof part, thereby greatly improving its durability.

A brand new digital note-taking experience: AI Pen stylus
Alongside the Fold N6, a brand-new accessory was also unveiled – the OPPO AI Pen stylus. The stylus's design is quite interesting; instead of being housed within the phone's body (given the already thin design), it's stored using a dedicated protective back cover. This cover only covers the back of the phone and doesn't cover the front, thus preserving the phone's original slim profile during installation.

As for the charging method of the OPPO AI Pen stylus, when the stylus is stored in the pen slot of the protective case, the metal contacts on the stylus connect with the metal contacts in the groove of the protective case. The protective case itself draws power from the phone's "reverse wireless charging" function by fitting against the back of the phone, thereby charging the stylus. This design solves the stylus storage problem without requiring too much space on the phone body, achieving a balance between aesthetics and functionality. In addition, because the stylus can be magnetically attached to the groove, it will not easily fall out.
Besides its charging and storage mechanism, this stylus is also quite comprehensive in terms of functionality. It features a physical button on the pen body, and combined with button and screen operation, it can access a variety of convenient functions.
For example, pressing the button and drawing a circle on any interface activates the "Circle" function, similar to Google's "Circle Search," allowing you to quickly select items in the scene for searching. For quick note-taking, the "Shortcut" function lets you jot down notes on a floating sticky notepad. To explain content to colleagues or friends, the "Demo Pen" function allows you to temporarily write on the screen (similar to a laser pen), the mark disappearing when released without affecting the original image. For business professionals who need to sign or annotate documents at any time, the "Global Annotation" function allows you to write directly on any screenshot or document page. Notably, in camera mode, this button can also function as a physical shutter button, adding convenience for taking photos.

As for the functions corresponding to the stylus buttons, they can actually be customized by the user, allowing them to set them according to their personal habits.
The LUMO imaging system, inheriting the spirit of Hasselblad
Imaging performance has always been a strength of OPPO's flagship models, and the Find N6 naturally continues this deep collaboration with Hasselblad. In terms of camera specifications, it features a "Hasselblad 200MP quad-camera system," a rarity in foldable phones, including a 2MP main lens, a 5000MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a periscope telephoto lens, as well as a dedicated 2MP "Danxia Color Reproduction Lens" (the international version is called the True Color Lens) for reproducing true colors.

More importantly, the Find N6 incorporates the "LUMO Imaging System," which was first used in the Find X8 Ultra this April. This system not only continues Hasselblad's natural interpretation of color but also enhances its ability to handle light and shadow. A quick sample shot on-site revealed excellent dynamic range, with remarkably well-preserved details in both highlights and shadows. The color style maintains Hasselblad's signature "de-digitalized" texture, rather than a pleasing style that simply boosts saturation.

The built-in shooting modes are also quite rich. In addition to the professional "Hasselblad Master Mode", which allows users to manually adjust various parameters to produce more film-like works, the "Hasselblad Ultra High Definition" mode can fully utilize the resolution of the 2-megapixel lens, leaving ample room for post-processing and cutting.
In terms of video recording, all three rear cameras of the Find N6 support 4K 60fps Dolby Vision shooting, and the 2-megapixel camera supports the ultimate level of 4K 120fps Dolby Vision. It also supports Log video format, which can achieve more professional and delicate post-processing.
ColorOS 16's user interface brings more convenient features.
The Find N6 uses the ColorOS 16 operating interface based on Android 16. The new "Free Window" function fully utilizes the advantages of the large screen. It can not only open up to four applications at the same time, but also freely adjust the size and ratio of the window to adapt to various workflows or meet the needs of multitasking window interface use. In addition, it also includes many functions such as AI memory pod, AI voice recording summary and AI Motion Photo cross-border collage. The international version can also use Google Gemini AI function (the version sold in the Chinese market uses DeepSeek model technology).

In addition, the Find N6 also supports O+ Connectivity, which can be easily connected with Mac or Windows computers to achieve seamless file transfer, screen mirroring, and remote control, enabling a cross-ecosystem experience.

In line with the recent surge in popularity of agent-based AI driven by OpenClaw, OPPO has revealed plans to launch its Xiaobu Claw service later this year, touting it as a way to make agent-based AI more secure for users, following Xiaomi's "shrimp farming" trend in the mobile phone market. However, this feature is currently only available in the Chinese market, with no plans for an international version.

Launched first in the Chinese market, the international version will follow later.
On the eve of Apple's entry into the foldable phone market, the OPPO Find N6 truly demonstrated its technological prowess as a pioneer. With its virtually imperceptible screen crease, practical and innovative stylus accessory, and a further refined Hasselblad imaging system, it attempted to prove to the market that even with formidable competitors looming, the foldable phone experience still has room for improvement.
