AlfredCamera, a software startup that previously boasted about turning old mobile phones into webcams through software, has now announced the launch of its first webcam product, the "AlfredCam," aiming to enter the hardware market from a software company.
AlfredCam, which has been in preparation for three years, will target the United States as its first overseas sales market and is expected to be officially launched on July 7. The first batch will be limited to 18 units and will be sold through a "VIP user-only" pre-order event. The suggested retail price is US$2000, and one month of free AlfredCamera Premium plan is included.
In terms of specifications, "AlfredCam" boasts a Full HD resolution, a wide-angle lens with a 130-degree shooting angle, and is equipped with low-light color night vision (Color Night Vision), offline long-time recording, and a seamless app-connected experience. It also includes AI motion detection, person detection, two-way talk, trust circle, and an unlimited number of supported devices.
Alfred Butler is expected to be launched in the Taiwan market as early as 2023, becoming the second place in the world where "AlfredCam" is sold.
Alfred Butler plans to create a more complete home security monitoring system by launching its first hardware product. Through the integration of hardware and software, a more personalized home security system can be created. For example, old mobile phones and tablets that are not in use can be used in combination with the Alfred Butler app and the newly announced network camera "AlfredCam" to build a home monitoring system in a more flexible way.
