CooperateNew iPadOS 26 updateApple also revealed that it will add new features to AirPods 4, AirPods 4 noise reduction version, and AirPods Pro 2, including the ability to use the headphones as a camera remote control for devices such as iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and to produce professional recording effects equivalent to a recording studio.

This update mainly upgrades AirPods 2, AirPods 4 noise-cancelling version, and AirPods Pro 4 equipped with H2 or later chips, enabling them to turn the headphones into professional recording tools to meet the needs of interviews, live broadcasts, singers recording songs, and creators recording podcast content. Through the computing power of the H2 chip, beamforming microphones and algorithms, the recorded sound can filter out background noise and present it in a cleaner sound quality form.
On the other hand, this update can also improve the call quality when using headset calls, FaceTime or third-party apps that support the CallKit API.
This update also allows users to use AirPods as a camera remote control for iPhone, iPad or Mac. Apple also revealed that this feature will support third-party apps, but the specific list of supported apps has not yet been announced.
