Previously revealed at the launch event in November, the device, designed by a former Apple interface designer, will ship in early 11.Ai Pin, a screenless artificial intelligence portable device, confirmed earlier that the first wave of consumers who placed ordersProducts will be received starting in March 2024.
Ai Pin was created by Humane, founded by former Apple interface designer Imran Chaudhri and his wife Bethany Bongiorno. It operates on two batteries, is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, and has a camera lens that can perceive depth of field. It is worn on the body via a clamp and has no screen. All interactions are through the microphone or the built-in projection function to interact with the virtual keyboard.
Like other artificial intelligence application products, Ai Pin also claims that the deeper the user's interaction with it, the better it can understand the user's real needs and provide suggestions that are more in line with personal needs.
The subscription service with Ai Pin will be operated through T-Mobile's network service and will be connected to OpenAI or Microsoft's artificial intelligence models, allowing users to interact naturally through the built-in microphone and respond to various artificial intelligence service functions, such as answering user questions or translating user spoken content into different languages. In addition, the camera can also be used to activate computer vision analysis functions to determine the nutritional value of photographed food.
Humane has confirmed that subsequent orders will be shipped sequentially, with the first wave of orders starting in March 2024. The Ai Pin is now available for pre-order through its official website, with Eclipse Black and Moonlight White priced at $3 each, and an Equinox Chrome colorway priced at $699.
