Adobe will charge high fees when it conceals cancellationsRelated service contract terms, and set up a difficult cancellation process, which led to a lawsuit filed by the US Federal Trade Commission. Melanie Perkins, CEO of Canva, which recently announced the acquisition of Affinity, stated in a recent interview that it will provide the market with Adobe special solutions and reduce the cost of owning design tools. It also announced earlier that the free trial of Affinity Photo service will be extended to 6 months, and even a buyout promotion with a discount of 50% will be launched to attract more user support.

Affinity, acquired by Canva, is offering a 50% discount promotion to attract heavy Adobe users to switch platforms.

Affinity has launched a buyout plan, which includes Affinity Designer 2, which is compatible with macOS, Windows and iPadOS platforms, as well as Affinity Photo 2 and Affinity Publisher 2. After the purchase, you can use them for life without any additional subscription. You can also upgrade from the previous Affinity V1 plan. The plan originally had to be purchased for NT$4990, but now it can be bought out for only NT$2990.

If users only need Affinity Designer 2, Affinity Photo 2, or Affinity Publisher 2, they can purchase them separately for NT$1190 (the iPadOS version is NT$290). However, for those with more complete design needs, it is recommended to purchase all three services at once for a better deal.

Affinity's buyout plan is primarily designed for Adobe's InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator consumers, and covers almost all of them. However, it won't be able to offer more automatic AI application services like Adobe's Sensei AI. However, in the future, Canva may also have the opportunity to introduce AI application features to make it more convenient for creators to use.

Another inconvenience for users in Taiwan may be the lack of a Traditional Chinese interface. Currently, you can only choose a Simplified Chinese interface or switch to an English interface, but overall the operation is still very good. If you are not sure whether Affinity is suitable for your personal needs, you can try it for free before deciding whether to pay for it.
