Just as Kymco emphasizes the simultaneous development of hybrid and electric vehicles, Acer Motors also focuses on the market strategy of simultaneous development of hybrid and electric models. At today's (7/16) event, it officially unveiled the yellow-plate light multi-purpose vehicle Brera X, a collaboration with European brand KL Motor, and the electric sports tourer EV-C1, which was previously exposed in South Korea. It also emphasized that it will set up a factory in Vietnam this year to expand its Southeast Asian market development. At the same time, it will also establish its first direct-operated hybrid and electric store with a new corporate identity design in Taichung in the fourth quarter of this year, and announced that it will launch the multi-purpose light vehicle MK150 positioned as a "Fun Bike".
Among them, the EV-C1 itself is a model co-developed with South Korea's Dotstation and is built in the PBGN form. It has a minimum seat height of 730mm for white-label models, plus a front and rear separated seat cushion design to correspond to a more comfortable riding triangle. It also provides SS intelligent driving electronic control and TCS anti-skid and cruise control functions, equipped with a 7.6kW G2.2 aluminum alloy water-cooled permanent magnet synchronous motor, Gates high-tension carbon fiber composite belt drive system, etc. In addition, it is also equipped with a BOSCHE 10.1ABS braking system, five-stage adjustable rear shock absorber, Michelin City Grip Saver tires, etc.
The lighting system uses Class D projector LED headlights with integrated star-shaped taillights. It is also equipped with a CROXERA 6 smart instrument with multiple functions, and an optional driving recorder can provide blind spot warnings.
The Brera X is a collaboration with KL Motor. It's positioned as a yellow-plate-class light multi-purpose vehicle and has been re-adjusted for Taiwan's road conditions. It features a 278.3cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, a class-leading weight of 159kg, and a wheelbase of 1390mm, for more maneuverability. It also boasts a class-leading 13.5L fuel tank capacity. The braking system uses Brembo subsidiary J.JUAN's radially opposed four-brake calipers and five-position adjustable pull rods, while the bodywork also boasts a three-piece design for basic anti-fall protection.
Other designs include 3-stage adjustable windshields, a 5-inch LCD instrument panel, a keyless system and a vehicle anti-theft alarm system. The body can also be equipped with a three-piece suitcase provided by the factory to expand the storage space.
The multi-functional light-duty vehicle MK150, which was previewed for a short time this time, is positioned as a "Fun Bike". It adopts a small-wheel diameter design and a horizontal engine design with a displacement of 150cc. It also adopts an off-road style. Further information is expected to be announced later.
