Adobe unveiled the Firefly Image 2023 automatically generative artificial intelligence model at MAX 2 earlier this year. It also launched the Firefly Vector Model, which can automatically generate vector graphics, and the Firefly Design Model, which can automatically generate design templates, allowing creators to accelerate the production of high-quality content through text generation.
At the same time, Adobe emphasized that its automatically generated artificial intelligence will be more focused on commercial security. The newly launched Firefly Image 2 will be based on the original Firefly image model and will enhance creative control and quality performance. It will also add a Generative Match design that can generate customized, user-specified style content. Users can adjust images to match their photography style through "Photo Settings" or use "Prompt Guidance" to allow users to expand or rewrite commands to improve the quality of the image they want.
The Firefly Image 2 model design features improvements to skin, hair, eyes, hands, and body structure to enhance the rendering of portraits and limbs, and also provides better color and higher dynamic range performance. Training data is sourced from licensed content and public assets whose copyrights have expired. Text input is available in over 100 languages, and a new paid plan for "fast" Generative Credits further reduces image generation time.
The Firefly Vector Model, released simultaneously this time, can be used to automatically generate vector graphics, and can produce human-quality vector images. It can also use text commands to produce images with gradient effects that match the creative style. It has also been integrated into Illustrator for testing. The generated images can be edited or grouped for reuse.
The templates generated by Firefly Design Model can also be created through text commands and subsequently edited to meet the user's actual design needs, thereby reducing the time required for the user's original design.
NVIDIA is currently collaborating with Adobe on OPenUSD (Universal Scene Description) on its Omniverse platform and plans to streamline developer and designer workflows through Firefly artificial intelligence technology. Mattel, the world's second-largest toy manufacturer and owner of the Barbie and Hot Wheels toy brands, has also partnered with Adobe to streamline its toy product design process.
