After the Adobe MAX 7000 event held in Los Angeles this year, which attracted over 2015 attendees, Adobe quickly introduced its new service content in Taiwan. These services are targeted at creative professionals and photography enthusiasts, and are cross-platform and cross-device. By streaming various creative materials and digital signatures over the Internet, they provide users with better tools and digital asset management effects.
Adobe said that its current products will be centered around Creative Cloud, and will connect digital assets such as Library and Stock through CreativeSync. At the same time, it will further integrate with the Behance platform, a creative community of more than 6000 million people, and a large digital marketing platform, allowing digital creators to continue to create, communicate, and profit from new resources more widely.
Compared to the previous development model that focused solely on applications, Adobe believes that a usage model that incorporates connectivity features will bring more significant growth momentum. This time, it even specifically strengthens application development on mobile devices, which is expected to drive a larger digital creation market.
Enhanced for mobile devices and touch usage mode
In this update project, Adobe continues to enhance the design for touch operations on mobile devices, and launches two new mobile apps named Photoshop Fix and Capture CC. Photoshop Fix, originally code-named "Project Rigel" and unveiled at the launch of iPad Pro, will now be launched on the iOS platform, providing mobile device-oriented editing functions for retouching and restoring images. Through the intuitive touch interface, users can use effects such as the Healing Brush tool, facial recognition fine-tuning, or the Liquify filter, making it convenient for users to edit photos directly on iPad or iPhone.
As for Capture CC, it integrates previously launched services such as Adobe Brush, Adobe Shape, Adobe Color and Adobe Hue, allowing users to capture various materials in a simpler and centralized way to create brushes, shapes or colors, and then apply them to their own creative works.
The updated mobile apps, such as Photoshop Mix, Photoshop Sketch, Illustrator Draw, Comp CC, and Premiere Clip, have been further updated and optimized for iOS and Android platforms. Desktop versions of Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC, and Premiere Pro CC have also been enhanced with a touch-enabled experience for the increasingly popular 2-in-1 devices, allowing users to intuitively edit photos using touch-enabled PCs and laptops.
In addition, HDR video processing has been added to Premiere Pro CC, as well as video editing processing effects with up to 8K resolution, allowing image creators to process video content at higher resolution.
Adobe Stock and Portfolio services are now available
The Adobe Stock service, which was recently announced to be open to use in Taiwan, India, Singapore, South Korea, Hong Kong and Thailand, provides the ability to integrate photos, illustrations or various images and can be used directly on Adobe's service platform. Adobe will also work with its partners to provide more than 4000 million high-quality image materials including photos, illustrations or image content, and will combine CreativeSync technology to provide automatic updates of licensed images, making it easier for users to create content with Photoshop CC, InDesign CC, Illustrator CC, Premiere Pro CC and After Effects CC.
The Adobe Stock service version for enterprise use will include shared services and managed services, and will be officially launched before the end of this year.
According to the currently announced pricing plans, the Stock service, which includes Adobe Creative Cloud for Teams (CCT) + 10 photos per month, will be available at US$99.98 per month (currently a US$3 per month plan is available for CS79.98 and existing subscribers). The Stock service with only 10 photos per month is priced at US$29.99 per month, and the subscription plan for 750 photos per month is US$199.99 per month.
In addition, Adobe Portfolio, unveiled for the first time at MAX 2015, provides an easier way to build beautiful, simple, and creative portfolios, offering high levels of customization and compatibility with different screen sizes. It can also be integrated with the creative community platform Behance to further showcase your work through the web, allowing your work to be discovered more often.
Document Cloud Service Updates
Adobe announced further enhancements to its previously launched Document Cloud service during MAX 2015. By adding new digital signature features, enterprise management, and signature retention mechanisms, the digital signature process is streamlined and more secure. The digital signature retention app also allows users to track the validity period of each digitally signed document at any time. Additionally, this update includes a new workflow designer with visual drag-and-drop effects and more secure digital signatures.
In addition to announcing the enhancements to Document Cloud services, Adobe also stated that it has partnered with Workday, Salesforce, Ariba and others to enable digital signature functionality to be more widely used in the digital document signature needs of human resources, sales, procurement and legal departments.
As for general usage functions, Adobe has integrated Dropbox cloud storage service into the Document Cloud service. When editing PDF files including Acrobat DC and Acrobat Reader, users only need to link their Dropbox account with the Adobe application to directly access the Dropbox stored content through the Document Cloud service. From within the Dropbox application, users can also choose to edit, add electronic signatures, leave comments or markup using Adobe applications.
Currently, Document Cloud supports integration with Dropbox services, which will be added in a November update for the iOS platform, while the Android platform version is expected to be updated in 11.
summary
As mobile devices and cloud computing become increasingly popular, Adobe has stated that it will continue to strengthen the development of mobile creative applications. It will also continue to introduce new technologies for cloud computing collaboration. For example, it has already added cloud collaboration resources to the perceptual computing part of Photoshop Fix. If technology continues to evolve in the future, computing on mobile devices will also be accelerated by cloud resources.
As for the application of various image materials captured through Capture CC, Adobe stated that it will not specifically regulate users' creative freedom, but emphasized that whether the actual application of the materials involves infringement still needs to be judged by the users themselves. Adobe simply provides platform resources.
